Vinyl Giveaway!!!

This comes from a friend of mine who makes vinyl (www.udreamitvinyl.blogspot.com). She does a really good job. You can go leave your name in the comment on her blog to be entered into the drawing!

"I'm finally getting around to having another contest! Where it is so close to Christmas, I've decided that I will do the same as the last one, and let YOU pick what you want! You can choose a pre-designed 12"x12" tile size, or something custom to fit on a board, up to 24" long. BUT... there's more...I'm having TWO drawings...AND, if you post about this give-a-way on your blog, you can leave TWO comments and increase your chances! The contest will end Friday night at midnight! Good luck and I hope everyone is enjoying the holidays! (The nativity vinyl is also a choice for this drawing)"

Here is a sample of a nativity scene when it is complete. The drawing could be for the vinyl for this. She has the rest available for purchase.

Silly girl...

Bailey was so funny the other day. She is becoming so independent and she wanted to get dressed by herself. She had to be the one to pick out her outfit for the day. So I let her with the idea that if we were going to go anywhere I would just change her. Well, after about 10 minutes she came walking out of her room with the look that definitely said, "Look at me, I did this all by myself, and I love it!" Need I mention the extra little hip in her giddyup.:) The top is actually a dress that she has obviously outgrown and yes, it is on backwards as are her...I mean...MY shoes! She came right up to me and then she started prancing around while saying "I so cute! I so cute! I so cute!" She is a little ball of fire, constantly keeping us on our feet, never ceasing to amaze us and we love her.

My boy is growing up...

So I was going through Jayden's folder the other day when he came home from school and I was looking at one of his homework pages and Jayden gives me this "uh oh" look and says "Mom don't look on the back!" His smile made me even more curious. So I turned it over and this is what I found.

I was relieved to find out that Amanda was a high school girl that came with a group of kids to do the assembly for Red Ribbon Week. Jayden had come home saying that he had fallen in love with one of the girls. I can't believe he is already talking let alone thinking about that. At least it's just a crush!:)

Halloween!!

Okay so I had every intention of getting these posted right away, but once again I have fallen behind. Halloween was pretty fun this year. The kids have been so excited about it and have been counting the days. It was kind of nice that they didn't have school so we didn't feel like we were rushed to get anywhere or do anything. We had a lot of fun and the weather was perfect, making it even more enjoyable. We didn't do a lot of trick or treating and I was kind of glad because it seems like I am the one who ends up eating all their candy. I have another picture we took of Chris and I as well, I will have to post that one later. We went with a couple of friends. They were Edward and Bella. We were Alice and Jasper. Yes we were Twilight characters and we had a fun time!

Earlier on in the week we had a playgroup and afterwards Bailey was so tired and this is how I found her...fast asleep on the coffee table!

Jayden was Superman and all day I caught him flexing in the mirror. It was too funny! He also kept making comments like "I'll just 'fly' down the stairs and get that!" He loved it!

Halle was a "Bratz girl". People would ask her what she was and she would answer, "I'm a brat!" They'd have to ask her again, thinking they had misunderstood. We all got a good laugh out of it.

Bailey was Cinderella. Ever since we got this for her, we had a hard time getting it off of her. She LoVeD it!! I wanted to get a cape for her because that is just the way she is...loves to be cute, but she's got to give it a little something extra. She definitely keeps us laughing. She is our little fire ball for sure. Don't let the sweet smile fool you! :)

Maddy was a cheerleader. She was a good sport while everyone went about their way getting all dressed up and running around trying to get all of the visiting done. She let people oooh and aaah at her and I think she had a pretty good time!:)

All of our kids together. I'm suprised they were all looking at the camera at the same time. It's a good thing we took their pictures BEFORE they loaded themselves with all that sugar! They were wired until midnight.

We've Got The Spirit!!!

As a lot of you know, it was Red Ribbon Week at school this week so the kids were able to dress up each day. We had fun coming up with something to wear each day from the things we had on hand here. I don't know who had more fun...the kids or me. I only got one picture of Jayden. Bailey had to dress up right along with the older two.

Monday it was dress up as your favorite hero day. Jayden was Luke Skywalker and Halle thought it would be kind of fun to be Catwoman.

Bailey wanted to dress up too and she chose this. So we called her Dash and she spent the rest of the day running as fast as she could. It fits her doesn't it?! ;)

Tuesday was Crazy Hair Day. Jayden had a mohawk and Halle had this!! I put about 20 little braids in her hair and then I got some craft wire and ran it through. When I was finished I told her to go look in the mirror. She did and all I could hear was her laughing. It was cute. I had a real hard time taking her serious for the rest of the day. We all got a pretty good kick out of it.

Of course Bailey wanted hers done too. She loves being just like Halle. "Mommy, do a mine a hair too!"

Wednesday was dress up like your favorite book character so Jayden was none other than Harry Potter. I didn't have any glasses so I fashioned some out of the same craft wire I used on Halle's hair. I thought it turned out pretty good. He came home and didn't have the scar anymore because the other kids said it didn't look like a scar so he wiped it off. Oh well, I tried.

This was a little tricky for Halle. We had this Captain Feathersword costume, so I talked her into the fact that the Wiggles were also in books and she didn't believe me so I pulled out the coloring book we have and that was all the convincing she needed. I had to make the eyepatch out of felt and yarn. She wasn't wearing the costume when she came home because she said it was too hot. Once again, I tried. :)

Last, but not least was sports day. They wore their soccer jerseys. Halle ended up winning a box top drawing and got this pink poodle. Jayden was in a bad mood because he didn't win, so he wouldn't let me take his picture. We had a fun week and I almost wish that every day were dress up day.

I've been tagged!!!

Ok I have been tagged to tell six quirks about myself so here it goes!!

1. I have to have a clock or something with the time on the nightstand where I sleep. When I wake up in the night I always check the time.

2. I always sleep on the side of the bed furthest away from the door. I don’t know I guess I figure the kids will wake Chris up instead of me…but they seems to find me just as easy over there. :)

3. When we go on trips I have to be the one to pack so I know exactly what we have and where I can find it. It stresses me out to let anyone else do it.

4. Before I leave the house, I have to make sure every light is turned off. Even if I am in a hurry I run around the house turning the lights off. My dad used to do that with us and now I feel guilty if I leave any lights on besides the porch one any way.

5. I have the hardest time paying full price for anything. If I have bought something on sale for one price, it makes it that much harder to spend more on it the next time. Makes it kind of tricky to go grocery shopping!

6. I am a multi-tasker. If I sit down to watch tv at night, I have to have something else to do at the same time. Whether it’s because I’m bored or feeling guilty I’m not sure. I have to get my laptop out or work on some sort of project. I know, I know all in all I am pretty weird…oh well! :)

Another World

I really love my kids and thank my Heavenly Father for them every day. They are so patient with me for the most part and I am grateful for the sweet spirits they are. I have decided that having four kids has put me in a completely different world. With all of the things that need to be done every day, it seems like I am constantly on the move. If I'm not holding Maddy, I am doing dishes, if not dishes, changing Bailey, or doing laundry, or vacuuming, or cleaning toilets, fixing meals, picking up after Bailey over and over and over again. Then I finally get the kids down for bed, foolishly thinking it'll calm down...umm, not so much! :) I'm up a few times at night for sure. I was talking with my mom the other day about this and how I just can't seem to catch up. Then we started on the topic of the economy and food storage and I thought...there's another thing I need to do, then she said something along the lines of 'well, in that case you could just use your 72 hour kit'...oh ya did I mention that I don't have one of those either? The list just seems to never end, I know eventually it'll get better and I'll feel more organized, but right now I'll live in this other world of craziness...would anyone care to join me? :)

We were watching a movie the other night and the three older kids ended up with Chris so I handed Maddy to him for this photo opportunity!

This is pretty much our kids in a nutshell...Jayden being goofy, Halle being cuddly, Bailey trying to look innocent, and Maddy being as sweet as ever.

Is it too late for first day of school pictures?

I know, I know I am way late and I don't know if these are even the actual pictures of the first day, but hey at least they are pictures of my kids wearing a backpack! :)

Our Little Madison

Well, I just got some pictures back that we had taken by a friend of ours (thanks Angie!). So now I can show you our little girl and tell you more about her. Madison was born on July 15th at Madison Memorial hospital. She was 6 lbs 6 oz. and 20" long. She is now 2 months old and is smiling and finding her voice. We are finally getting her into some sort of routine which is nice for all of us. She is such a good baby and a sweet spirit and we are so happy to have her in our home. We love you Maddy!

My Family

We recently had family pictures on my side of the family taken. We had gotten some taken just last summer, but since then we've had two additions! We now have 17 adults and 17 grandkids making it quite the challenge to get everyone to try to look at the camera at the same time, let alone smile.:) I love my family and it was so fun to be able to have all of us together it doesn't happen that often.

Mind Benders

If you know me at all you may know that I love a good puzzle or brain teaser. Here are some I came across. I would love to know how you did!
